Youth Ministry

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." -Proverbs 22:6.

Ministering to the youth of our congregation and community is a vital part of our focus at Trinity, and we have a number of activities to help in God's work to create, strengthen, and activate the faith of our young people.

Youth Night

Two nights a month the church is full of smiles, laughs and love. In the warmer months the fields behind the church are filled with kids playing dodgeball, capture the flag, manhunt and other fun group games. In cooler months the kids move inside to play more dodgeball, human pin ball, Wii games, crafts, ping pong, and board games. Each night pizza or a specially-prepared meal is served.

We divide the youth into two groups:

Trinity Kids 3^RD – 5^TH

Time: 6 – 7:30 PM

Trinity Teens 6^TH – 12^TH

Time: 6 – 8:00 PM

Sunday School

Every Sunday we have Sunday School hour from 9:45am until 10:45am from September through May. The youth in 6th through 12th grade have a Bible Study while our Kid’s Club serves our children from grades 1-5. Kid’s Club provides opportunities for kids to sing, hear lessons, pray, do projects, and seek to bless the church and community. There is also a Bible study for children who are 4-5 years old. Nursery care for children under 4 is available during the Sunday School hour. All classes use the Bible and have a lesson that seeks to apply Biblical principles to every day life and for the building of a proper understanding of God and His love for us.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation is a 2-year program for students beginning in 5th grade. During this time, students are taught the basics of Christianity and the Lutheran Confessions, and how these apply to our lives. At the conclusion of the two years, students are given the opportunity to be "confirmed" in their faith - at which time they are welcomed to participate in Holy Communion. Classes are held on Thursday nights. If you are interested in our Confirmation program, please contact the church office for more information.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is an exciting, fun-filled community educational outreach program designed to impress our God upon the hearts of His children. Each year a fresh, new curriculum is chosen that uses a multifactorial approach to bring God’s Word to the children/youth. Games, music, bible lessons and crafts based upon a unique theme and focus verse are included in the program. VBS runs for 5 consecutive nights from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and is available to those who are entering 1st grade in September to grade 12. Contact the church office at 778-7119 if you have questions or would like to volunteer. Ask to be put in touch with Jackie Heubach or Judy Cummings.

For value-minded moms and daughters, American Heritage Girls is the confidence-building extra-curricular activity and inspiring adventure that helps girls realize their potential and become women of integrity. It is a faith-based organization where girls experience new challenges that teach service, team-building and leadership skills in a safe and fun environment.

American Heritage Girls is a multi-level scouting organization for girls from ages 5-18. We meet here at Trinity Lutheran Church on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 5-6:30pm. For more information, visit our page.
